Prof. Yong Zhang

Bio: 

Yong Zhang, Research Fellow at the National Research Centre for Information Science at Tsinghua University and Deputy Director of the Tsinghua Kelan Advanced Intelligent Database Research Institute, completed his undergraduate and doctoral studies in the Department of Computer Science at Tsinghua University and undertook postdoctoral research at the University of Cambridge. He has specialised in the fields of AI, databases and big data management for over twenty years. He has served on the programme committees of several leading international conferences and as associate editor of renowned journals, led more than 40 national-level key research projects, and published over 200 high-impact academic papers. His research achievements have earned him numerous honours, including the First Prize for Innovation from the China Invention Association. This academic conference will focus on the integration and practical application of cutting-edge intelligent database technologies with large-scale data systems, providing colleagues from academia and industry with insights and practical experience regarding the integration of industry, academia and research.

Lexing Huang, Ph.D./Professor, doctoral supervisor, dean of the School of Information, Hainan University, deputy director of the State Key Laboratory of Marine Resource Utilization in the South China Sea, member of the Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain Special Committee of the Science and Technology Commission of the Ministry of Education, chief scientist of the National Key R&D Program, Executive Director of the Graduate Education Branch of the China Electronic Education Society, Director of the Hainan Provincial Key Laboratory of Big Data and Smart Services Director of the Green Smart Island Provincial and Ministry Joint Construction Collaborative Innovation Center, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the Hainan Internet Talent Training Innovation Alliance, Deputy Chairman of the Hainan Provincial Computer Major Teaching Steering Committee, President of the Hainan Provincial Smart City Research Institute; IEEE Computer Society Member, senior member of the China Computer Federation and member of the Information Systems Committee Member of the Standing Committee of the Intelligent Aerospace Systems Committee of the Chinese Artificial Intelligence Society; editorial board member of "Journal of Communications"; outstanding talent in Hainan Province, outstanding expert with outstanding contributions in Hainan Province, first-level candidate of Hainan Province “515 Talent Project”, and famous Nanhai expert in Hainan Province.  Obtained a doctorate in engineering from Northwestern Polytechnical University in 2007 and completed postdoctoral research in computer science and technology at Tsinghua University in 2009. The main research areas include: big data and intelligent information processing, multi-source information perception and integration, artificial intelligence and intelligent services, etc. In recent years, he has published more than 230 academic papers as first author and corresponding author, including more than 180 included in SCI and EI; obtained 29 national invention patents, 92 software copyrights, and 6 group standards; published 4 monographs and translated 2 books. Hosted and undertook nearly 30 national, provincial, ministerial and municipal projects, including 1 national key research and development plan project, 3 National Natural Science Foundation projects, 6 other national projects such as 863 and Science and Technology Support Plan; as the first Completer won 1 first prize and 1 second prize of Hainan Province Science and Technology Progress Award.


Prof. Li Ma

Bio: 

Professor, PhD. Party Secretary of the School of Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science; Leader of the Beijing Municipal Academic Innovation Team for Higher Education Institutions; Member of the 11th Council of the Chinese Computer Society (CCF); Distinguished Member of the CCF; Member of the CCF Specialised Committees on the Internet of Things and Education; Member of IEEE-CS and ACM. Expert for the National Key Research and Development Programme of the Ministry of Science and Technology; evaluation expert for science and technology awards in Beijing and Yunnan Province, amongst others.

His research interests include distributed information processing, the Internet of Things (IoT) and multi-agent robotic systems. He has led and successfully completed over 30 projects, including those under the National Key Research and Development Programme and the Beijing Natural Science Foundation, and possesses extensive research experience in the field of distributed systems. His research has covered autonomous networking in wireless sensor networks and cooperation and coordination technologies for multi-robot systems based on the Multi-Agent System (MAS) framework, resulting in the development of prototype systems such as autonomous wireless sensor networks. He has received three awards, including the Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress from Beijing Municipality, the Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress from the Aviation Industry Corporation of China, and the Armed Forces Award for Scientific and Technological Progress. He has also received two Second Prizes for Provincial Teaching Achievements and has published over 80 academic papers. He has edited and published four textbooks, including *Principles of Computer Architecture and System Design*.
